On December 10th Kendall was diagnosed with Influenza A. She was immediately put on tamiflu for 5 days. She had a mild case thank God. Then Quentin tested + for influenza A on January 7th so the transplant team wanted Kendall treated again because of exposure. This time she had to be on tamiflu for 10. days
On December 17th we went on our first vacation since the transplant. We went to Nashville Tennessee for Quentin's 21st birthday. A good time was had by all. Kendall had so much fun and it was good seeing her laughing and dancing at the AirBnB, museums, restaurants, and different attractions. Those 4 days went really fast but it was worth it because of all of the memories we made.
Last week she was supposed to have her annual visit to see her lung doctor but it was canceled and rescheduled for next month. On this past Friday Kendall had a scheduled heart cath done. The pressures that were measured were slightly high on the right side of the heart. The doctor said that was to be expected because all of the blood flow is going to the right lung because the left lung isn't functioning.
They took a few biopsies to check for signs of heart failure that will be resulted soon.
She came off of 1 medication:prilosec for acid reflux and was started on a higher dose of lipitor(was 15mg now 20mg). Apparently after the first year of transplant they see a lot of coronary artery disease so this is for prevention.
First day of 2nd semester/Junior year starts tomorrow. She is a night owl and is not looking forward to going to bed since she has been staying up late since Christmas break. Lol
I will make updates again after I get the Epstein Barr Virus results and biopsy report.

Our prayers for ALL of you continue! 🙏🏽✝️🙏🏽
