Good evening all. Kendall's heart cath procedure was not on the 26th of September, it was rescheduled for October 6th because there was an issue with a couple of the rooms where the procedures take place.

Updates:

The cardiology -doctor that did the heart cath procedure was very impressed that the pressures going to her heart had decreased quite a bit and they are in a stable, normal range. Since the numbers are good she will continue to take the medication Farxiga to help keep the pressures within normal limits.

-She is still taking 2 medications that are immunosuppressants and they help to decrease/prevent the risk of heart rejection. The plan is to start coming down on the dosages so that her body can kick in to start fighting off common colds, viruses etc....There is a balance and a fine line of what they can do with the meds because of the EBV virus. So for right now medication doses remain the same and she will have blood drawn in 1 month for cardiology.

-biopsy came back that there was a slight rejection in the heart. The 2nd part of the testing for rejection came back low probability of heart rejection. It's hard to explain because the numbers have never been "0" because obviously heart transplants are major surgeries and it takes the body a while to adjust to the new organ. So far Kendall is doing very well and the blood work numbers are something that the transplant team says to not worry about and it is normal to have many fluctuations in the first few years.

Oncology appointment is October 20th. They are continuing to keep a close eye on the EBV virus.

---the numbers are trending down since July ( 5500, 2900, 3800, 5200, 1800 was the latest one this week).

WINS!!!

-Next cardiology office visit is in 6 months. Getting blood drawn will probably be monthly for a while. Next cardiac cath procedure will be 1 year from now and not every 3 months anymore. Whew.....The greatest news ever.

This is all October News and I will be sure to update what is coming up for November.

In spite of it all you would never be able to look at Kendall and know all of the things she has been going through since birth and what she will face going forward. I can't explain it so I know that it is God's love. Miracles happen everyday for everyone no matter how big or small. We are very grateful and feel blessed that He chose us to see these miracles unfold day after day. I hope you are encouraged for yourself and the ones you love and know that God loves us all and what He does for one of us, He will do for us all in the areas we need Him to.
