Our exciting news......

We have been in contact with the donors family. They are such beautiful people inside and out.

Kendall's heart donor's name is Brady Caproon.

Myself and Brady's mom have been texting and writing letters to each other back and forth since last year. This was definitely an answered prayer, that the donor's family would want to know us.

I remember the first letter I received from Allisun very vividly. When Sydney opened the envelope to start reading the letter to us, there was a picture of Brady smiling. Seeing the picture was very emotional for us. We felt grief and grateful at the same time. I was on a mission to let the family know that Brady's heart was in a very special, blessed and loved young lady. Kendall.....

This September we exchanged information and planned to meet via FaceTime. We decided that our first meeting would be just the two of us and we made plans for our immediate family to meet the next time.

Sept 23rd-I can't even begin to explain what it was like to see his moms face for the first time via FaceTime. We initially just stared at each other, so many emotions were happening. I was looking at a mom who's son is no longer with her. She started the conversation telling me all about Brady, his love for people, his kindness, and generosity he had for everyone he knew. We talked for 2 hours.

I told her all about Kendall from birth until now (short version). I told her how grateful and thankful we are to her family for giving Kendall the ultimate gift that saved her life. Brady's heart.

She told me that Brady had already made the decision to be an organ donor.

We are both very excited for our families to get to know each and they get to witness Kendall's life going forward knowing Brady had everything to do with that.

My next update will be about when our families met on zoom on October 11th.....
