Quick update:
CT scan done on Mar17th
Scheduled appointment with Oncologist after CT scan went well. No changes in medications. Kendall has had cold(stuffy/runny nose and cough) for a week or so. No fevers though and she feels good.
---
-However the appointment on the 20th with the spleen specialist(hematologist) to go over results was canceled and rescheduled until next month( not our doing). The doctor needed to reschedule until April 17th) her 17th birthday. It seriously blows my mind that Kendall will be 17 years old!!! Look at what God can do.
Sooo...since the spleen doctor would not be available to go over CT scan results, the oncologist said that she would contact the doctor personally when the results were in and then call us for the plan of care.
Oncologist sent a message that the results of the CT scan were that the mass on the spleen has decreased and there is no need for any kind of intervention(medication to shrink it or surgery)!!!!
The EBV(Epstein Barr Virus) levels went up slightly but the oncologist said she is not concerned about the numbers and we will continue to take her to U of M to have her blood drawn every couple of weeks.
Kendall had an appointment with the lung doctor on March 19th. Everything was stable and she is now on 1 inhaler instead of 2.
Quentin was home for Spring break this week and Sydney was here a lot of those days. Kendall absolutely loves her brother and sister and when they come around you can see the difference in her in every way. She laughs, talks, watches movies, plays PS5 with Quentin, sings, dances. Whatever was going on in the house at the time, she did not shy away from it.
Next appointments:
April 14th Office appointment with Heart Transplant team and Psychologist
April 17th Office appointment with spleen specialist/hematologist
Spring break is this week and Kendall has been doing what she loves to do. Stay up until 2-3am Lol
We love and thank you for your continued support
