Very quick update
June 26th Kendall had the cardiac cath. After the procedure the cardiologist came in and said the pressures in the right side of heart were higher than they've ever been. The explanation to us was that the right side of her heart is very stiff and it takes extra effort to pump blood to it because she does not have a left lung to help the pressure to be normal.
She was discharged about 3 hours after the cath and the doctors told us to stay close to U of M or go home and pack a bag because if the biopsy showed any signs of rejection she would be admitted for 3 days of steroids. The on call cardiologist called us around 5:30pm and said this particular biopsy was negative for rejection and she did not need to be admitted. The final result of #2 biopsy will be available tomorrow Monday June 29th.
-Her immunosuppressant medications shows that she is way above normal which means she is more immunocompromised and more susceptible to catch a virus from someone/something around her.
-We are always careful with where we take her and making she sure she is masking up etc.....But while her numbers are this high we have to really apply more caution because her immune system is very suppressed.
-The next Epstein Virus Blood draw will be on Wednesday July 1st. The results will dictate whether or not she has to have a Pet Scan on July 7th.
-We continue to be grateful that she shows no signs of sickness and that she is home with us. I truly give thanks to all of you for your continued support , love and prayers. She will be started on a medication called Farxiga. It is used for many different things but in her case it will be used as a medication to reduce risk of heart failure.
