Our family's meet..

October 11th--. Our family met with Brady's parents, Allisun and Donavon Caproon via Zoom.

We greeted each other with smiles and introductions. From there the conversation just flowed. We didn't have a Q & A with a list of questions because we wanted it to be genuine and not scripted.

I asked Allisun to talk about Brady and share some things she had already told me and add anything else she wanted us to know. After that, we asked them questions like: what were Brady's favorite things:

(movies, sports, foods, subjects in schools, friends etc)

I think one of our biggest takeaways was to hear about the type of young man that he was. So full of life. Loved everyone. Stood up for anyone that was being bullied or mistreated.. Made people smile even when they didn't want to. He was smart, funny, adventurous, always made a bad day easier with his humor and encouragement towards everyone else. He was a stand-out lacrosse player who started playing in the 2nd grade and made the Varsity team in is freshman year.

They shared things about Brady as a son. Always so positive, hard working, silly, thoughtful and kind.

He loved Disney World. (I believe they said he had been there over 20 times).

They actually had a vacation that was already pre planned before Brady's passing. Naturally they didn't want to go because his accident was still fresh and they were understandably grieving. Nobody wanted to go. They wanted to cancel the trip. They decided as a family that they had to go because they knew Brady would want them to. Going to Disney World was very important to him and the family always had so much fun together and made new memories there. They were glad they went because they felt his presence right there with them.

These are quotes about Brady from his mom Allisun

-Brady was unapologetically Brady. He was a leader. Everyone's biggest fan. Had a kind and compassionate soul. Said "I love you" everytime he left the house, ended a phone call, or was leaving the lacrosse field and/or anywhere he went and he didn't care who heard him. He loved life and wanted to make a difference in other people's lives.

The Caproons have started many hashtags in his honor. Two of them are: #bpositive-Brady's blood type and #bebrady They want everyone to "Be positive" and "Be Brady."

***I told Allisun on our first FT call that unfortunately Kendall never got a chance to have a social life where she could make friends etc.... On October 31st she text me and said that Brady's friends wanted to meet her. Allisun said that she is still very close to all of Brady's friends and they had already told her they wanted to meet Kendall and keep in touch with her.
