Oncology, Heart Cath/Biopsy updates

On Tuesday Kendall had blood work done and then a doctors appointment. They were pleased that she is feeling better. Some of the blood work results came back during the appointment. She still has some low values because she is still on immunosuppressant medications. Most of the results hadn't changed much since her last blood draw in May but the good thing is none of them were worse. We still have to be very cautious in protecting her from being exposed to any viruses or anyone who is sick.

EBV virus results take a few days to come back....

On Wednesday she had a heart/cath and biopsy. The pressures in her heart and lung look much better than the previous ones. Her heart was more relaxed and not working as hard.

The plan is to start weaning the steroid dose down and at some point she will be off of them. The other thing that will be done soon is to decrease her tadalafil(helps with heart function) from 20mg to 10mg.

Decreasing both of these medications will actually help her body boost its own immune system. When all of these things happen, her low lab values will go up.

The biopsy report takes several days to come back....

These appointments were last week and I have most of the lab results back but I will put them in a separate post this week so stay tuned!!!!!!
