More updates from October

Ok. Clearly I am playing catch up with all of the most recent doctors appointments....

October 24--Hematology/Oncology specialist

Dr. M concluded that this mass/lesion on Kendall's spleen has been there a long time according to other cat scans and MRIs. It started slowly growing in 2024. She said it is a hemangioma--a benign tumor of the spleen, a non-cancerous overgrowth of blood vessels.

-Her recommendation is to do nothing right now. She said some of the reasons for rapid growth is puberty, illness, inflammation in the body or trauma. Her next cat scan is in March. In the meantime if the mass causes symptoms like left sided abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or decrease in appetite, the plan to wait until March to have a scan will change.

October 28--Oncologist

Dr A basically went over the lab results and did a physical exam. EBV levels have increased slightly from week to week and Kendall continues to not have any symptoms. Plan is to keep her on the same medications and do blood work every 2 weeks. Next appointment is in the beginning of December.

November 14--( I looked at the lab results from the 10th and her EBV levels are decreasing!!! Hallelujah

My very next post will be to announce some very good news that has been happening so stay tuned....
